107 Things I NO Longer Need in My Home.

I went through drawers, closets, hidey-holes, and even the kitchen this week.  If someone didn’t declare that they couldn’t live without it, it went into the go-away pile.  Let’s see what didn’t make the cut.

Dishcloths.  I can never close the drawer that my dishcloths are in.  So I got rid of a bunch of them.  Problem solved.  Now my dishcloth drawer will close and I still have over forty of the things.  Good grief.

Pants Liva won’t wear anymore, socks that “just don’t feel good” as my niece would say and bra’s.  I hate a normal bra now, and normally only wear the sport type (TMI, sorry) so these are going away.

A friend of ours knows that Liv likes a cup of coffee in the morning and sent these to her.  But she does not like these.  So they are going to the food pantry.  The one thing I’ve found at ALDI that my family doesn’t like is their ranch dressing.  I thought it was fine, but everyone else didn’t like it.  So I made them finish the first bottle and this unopened one is being gifted to people who aren’t so picky about ranch dressing.

I texted my brother and asked him if he needed a four cup measuring cup.  He laughed.  So it, this crock and some stickers are going away.  I also went through my silverware drawer.  It was ridiculous how many spoons and forks we own.

Liv went through her drawers again.  The only ones she had a pang about were her black cords.  She loved those pants and now that they don’t fit her she needs a new pair, but she’s had them since she was 12 years old.  I think she got her wear out of them.   By the way, do you know how difficult it is to buy pants for someone who is barely 5 feet tall and weighs 100 pounds?  Very, very difficult.

More, and more dishes that I keep finding hidden.  And I didn’t even try to hide them.  I think they are reproducing.  My lovely curtains.  When I rearranged my living room these curtains were too short for my front windows.  It just looked weird, so off they go until I find something new.  I have another tripod and only one DSLR camera.  So this was a no-brainer.

I went through one of my sewing boxes.  I have no idea what some of this stuff is (it came with the box), but I am certain that someone will know what it is and want it.

My beautiful, beautiful giant pasta plates.  Everyone at my house hates these plates.  But, look how pretty they are!  No matter how I exclaimed over them, everyone hated them.  So they can go live with someone else who thinks they are beautiful.  Sorry, beautiful plates, I don’t keep things that don’t serve a purpose at my house.  And you are not sentimental to me, so out you go.

My magazines!  I forgot to take a photo of them.  I’ll add it later and you can see what we read about this week in the 21 that are getting re-homed.

Whew.  I am still clearing out hidden corners at my house.  Did you clear out any of your clutter last week?  I love the freedom of clean spaces in my house!
