Over the weekend, against the moans and groans of the family, I rented The Giver.  Have you seen it yet?

I read the book a couple of years ago, and I truly enjoyed it immensely.  It is a great book.  Until I picked up the next book thinking that it was part of a quartet.  Don’t think that or you will be angry and want to throw the book across the room.  Ahem.

OK.  Rant over about the fact that the following books seem to have nothing to do with the first book.

The Giver by Lois Lowry.  Great book, and great movie in my humble opinion.  The rest of the family actually said that they were pleasantly surprised by how much they actually like this film.  If you have a little over an hour and a half, I think you’ll enjoy this!

We watch most of our movies on Vudu, Netflix, or Amazon, because I have an aversion to putting on real clothes to go out in public to rent one from the Redbox.
