I have found that the only way I get anything accomplished is to have a clear path to follow.  I am absolutely not a fly by the seat of my pants type of person.  So this year I have decided to lay out some goals to strive for and see how I do.  We shall see.

  • Go on a date with Denton every single week.

We actually stopped and had lunch together this past week.  It was lovely.  Do you do dates in the middle of the day?

  • Free Friday Download from Kroger each week.

This week’s freebie is a Choboti Flip.  Did you get yours?

  • Try a new recipe each week

I bought a new cookbook this week and it has a LOT of lovely recipes in it.  You should definitely check this book out!  I can’t wait to try out her grandmother’s recipe for sugar cookies.

  • Track our grocery spending   Spent $ 86.75  at Kroger and $71.71 at Food Lion
  • Got back:  $2.00 Ibotta;   $1.75  Checkout 51;   $0.00 from Savings Catcher

This was a high week for us.  But next week will be very, very low.

Ibotta is a way for you to earn cash on purchases when you shop.  Check the Ibotta app before you shop, then upload the UPC code and your receipt and get paid once your balance hits $20.  Join Ibotta with this link  (my referral link) and get $10 free!

Total spent this year $698.16

Got back from Ibotta $7.25         Checkout 51 $2.75                Savings Catcher $5.02

  • List something new on Etsy and Ebay each week

You can see all of my items here.

  • The donation box

This week I took 32 items to our local Salvation Army.  It was clothes that Liv had outgrown, shoes from my closet that hadn’t been worn in a long time, and books, magazines, and miscellaneous stuff.  I forgot to check the garage again!

  • Read a new book each week

This week I’ve been reading Carol Burnett’s book This Time Together.    I think she is hilarious, but this one is kind of sad too.

  • Gardening of some sort

I’ve been very vigilant about my houseplants the past few months.  I am notorious for killing the sweet, innocent little things, so mine have to be very durable and hardy specimens.  My Mamaw Sylvia had a beautiful way with plants and when she passed away my Aunt bravely gave me a couple of tiny ones she had cultivated.  So for the past 7 or 8 years, they have trudged along and not died.  About six months ago I transplanted one of them into an actual pot and it has done really, really well.  I am so proud!

  • House project’s

Hayden and I worked very hard on the one of the hallways this week.  It was a very intense solid four hours of manual labor and we were both feeling it by the end.  I told Hayden to take care of his body, it’s the only one you get in this life and it will wear out faster than you will believe.  But the progress on the floors is amazing and we are loving it.

  • Track how much water I’m drinking  ~

I don’t even think that I made my quota of two cups a day and I am feeling it.  Hopefully I will do better this week.

That’s it from me this week, what about you?  How did you do?

Miss a week?
