Arrival.  Have you seen it?  Denton and I watched it a couple of weeks ago.  Tonight, we convinced Hayden to watch it with us.

It is outstanding.

Rotten tomatoes gives it 94%.  Generally, I don’t give two hoots about what the Tomatometer says about a movie, but this time, I believe that it’s right on the money.

What can I say about this movie that would make you want to see it without giving anything away?

The actors are amazing, it’s a beautifully filmed and edited movie and the score is truly exquisite.

For all of you who always want to read the book first, this movie was a short story written by Ted Chiang in a compilation of short stories called Stories of Your Life and others.

We watch most of our movies on Vudu, Netflix, or Amazon, because I have an aversion to putting on real clothes to go out in public to rent one from the Redbox.
