It’s going to be another beautiful day here in VA. Last night after we had supper, we took Oreo for a walk on the Trail. It’s the first time we’ve taken him somewhere in the truck since Sampson died. He was so excited. Normally when we put him and Sampson in the backseat, he cowers down and whimpers the entire time. This time he sat up in the seat like a human and wagged his tail the entire car ride to the head of the trail. Our walk went great and he was ready to come home. When we got home he laid down out back for a few minutes and then started his mourning howl. I told Denton that I think that he thought we were taking him to Sampson. sigh. I really hate it that he can’t talk. But, it’s progress, he didn’t howl all night, just enough to let everyone know that he’s still so sad.
