What’s for Supper? Weekly Meal Plan 04.16.18

Wow, did it storm at your house last night?  In our area we had very, very heavy rain all evening and night.  The river is as high as I’ve ever seen it in the almost eleven years we’ve lived here.  Spring is here!  Our street looks like a movie set.  When the new neighbors up the hill moved in I don’t think whoever put in their driveway knew what they were doing.  Every time it rains it washes rocks and mud down the street.  Well, this time there is mud, rocks and boulders the size of a softball stretching over a good 200 feet of the street.

That’s your current weather update, here’s what we ate last week.

Monday – April 9

  • Hamburgers
  • Chips
  • Grapes
  • Raw onions and tomatoes

Tuesday – April 10

Wednesday – April 11

  • I have no idea.

Thursday – April 12

  • Chicken and yellow rice
  • Roasted veggies (potatoes, onions, broccoli and cauliflower)
  • Corn muffins
  • Coleslaw

Friday – April 13

Saturday – April 14

Sunday – April 15

What’s for Supper? Weekly Meal Plan 04.09.18

Did it snow at your house this morning?  We got around 3 inches of the lovely stuff.  It won’t stay around for very long, but it was still heavy and wet.  Makes me want to make my homemade potato soup!  We haven’t had it for a while, maybe I’ll put it on my list for this coming week.

Here’s what we ate last week.

Monday – April 2

  • Denton and I ate at a local Mexican restaurant for his Birthday.  It was really good.

Tuesday – April 3

  • Roast, with potatoes, carrots and onions
  • Coleslaw

Wednesday – April 4

Thursday – April 5

Friday – April 6

Saturday – April 7

Sunday – April 8

  • Frozen pizza – Yuck.  Hayden and I were discussing why we keep torturing ourselves with frozen pizzas.  They are so, so bad.

What’s for Supper? Weekly Meal Plan 03.26.18

The weekends are kicking my butt.  All of us stay up later:  IE:  I stay up past 10:00 PM and as a result I sleep past 7:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday.  Which means by the time Monday mornings roll around I’m getting a lot less sleep than normal, which in turn, makes me a very tired person.  I cling more and more to my routines the older I get, and this is one I think I won’t feel guilty about any more.  I NEED my sleep.

All of that to say I definitely needed my planner entries to remember what we ate this past week.  It was all yummy though!

Here’s what we ate last week.

What’s for Supper? Weekly Meal Plan 02.26.18

This past week has been completely wonky.  Denton’s work schedule has been all over creation and back, which causes everything to feel slightly out of kilter.  Even though the kids are essentially grown and we don’t run hither and yon like we did when they were younger, it still throws everything off when things don’t run the way I think they should.

Control freak, much?  Yes, I know I have issues.  I like my nice tidy world.  Oh well, hopefully everything will be back to what we know as normal soon.  Anyway, here is what I cobbled together for everyone to eat this week.  What did you have?

February 19

February 20

  • Chicken and yellow rice
  • Cornbread
  • Coleslaw

February 21

  • Soup beans with cornbread or rice
  • Salmon bombs

Our weather has been completely bonkers this past week.  High’s in the 70’s and snow over the weekend.  Which makes me want all kinds of different foods.  Do you crave things during certain seasons of the year?  Thursday it was 74* and I wanted homegrown tomatoes and watermelon.

Here’s what we had for supper this past week, and it wasn’t homegrown tomatoes and watermelon.  What did you have?  I would love to know.

February 12

  • Hamburger’s
  • Chips
  • Pickles and Giardiniera

February 13

February 14

  • Newman’s Own Pizza’s
  • Salad

Funny story that’s seriously not funny.  Did you know that one of the first ingredients in the Newman line of pizza is flax?  I didn’t either!  I’ll have to write a post about it later, because I almost killed Denton.  He is highly ALLERGIC to flax in all its glorious forms.  Yeah.  No more Newman’s Own pizza at our house.

February 16

February 15

  • Chicken sandwiches
  • Chips
  • Pickles and Giardiniera

February 17

February 18

  • Leftovers and
  • Whatever you can find – I had a turkey sandwich with Hellman’s and lettuce!
