What’s for Supper? Weekly Meal Plan 02.19.18

Our weather has been completely bonkers this past week.  High’s in the 70’s and snow over the weekend.  Which makes me want all kinds of different foods.  Do you crave things during certain seasons of the year?  Thursday it was 74* and I wanted homegrown tomatoes and watermelon.

Here’s what we had for supper this past week, and it wasn’t homegrown tomatoes and watermelon.  What did you have?  I would love to know.

Funny story that’s seriously not funny.  Did you know that one of the first ingredients in the Newman line of pizza is flax?  I didn’t either!  I’ll have to write a post about it later, because I almost killed Denton.  He is highly ALLERGIC to flax in all its glorious forms.  Yeah.  No more Newman’s Own pizza at our house.

  • Chips
  • Pickles and Giardiniera

Question.  When you were growing up, did you know there were different types of apples?  I think the only apples I knew existed were Granny Smith’s and Red Delicious – besides the little green ones that grew on my Mamaw’s trees between our yards.  Every time I go to the store I find a new variety of apple that I’ve never heard of.  I love it.

It makes we want to plant 978 types of apple trees in my yard.  Maybe I’d have better luck with them.  The birds get my cherries EVERY. single. year.

Monday – January 30

  • Baked Chicken
  • Baked Potatoes

  • Garlic Bread

Tuesday – January 31  – I had a dentist appointment today, so it’s easy to prepare and eat food.
