Pal’s Sudden Service.
Have you ever eaten at a Pal’s? Ohmyword. Every time we go home to see my family we have to make a pit stop at one of these at some point.
The original Pal’s opened in Kingsport, Tennessee in 1956 wayyyyyy before my time by Pal Barger. And now there are 28 locations. Sadly, not one near me. sniff, sniff.
His whole concept from the beginning was quality, speedy service and customer satisfaction. We’ve been eating his yummy food for my whole life and I’ve never had a bad experience. I think it’s working!
The food. Oh the food. My most favorite thing ever is the hot dog. A warm, soft bun with a delicious hot dog, add chili, mustard and onions and you are in heaven.
Add frenchie fries and a sweet tea with lemon and it’s perfection.

If you are ever in East Tennessee or Southwest Virginia and you need a bite, you have to find the closest Pal’s and get you something. You won’t regret it!!
