It warmed up here to very spring-like weather. For a few days anyway. It made me want to get started on my spring projects that are percolating in the back of my mind. Homegrown tomatoes, sugar snap peas, blueberry bushes and grape arbors. Today the temperature plummeted and was true winter weather. I was glad to get home and put my comfy clothes on.
Here’s what I’ve been reading this week.
FICTION
I loved the Martian, so I couldn’t wait for my turn at this book. It hasn’t disappointed me yet. I’m about halfway through it. I don’t know if I like it as much as his first book, but it is definitely riveting and it’s a very fast read so far. Let me know what you think if you’ve read it!
PURSE BOOK
Living Well, Spending Less by Ruth Soukup
If you spend any time waiting, you need a purse book. Standing in line at the post office, at the grocery store, in the dentist’s office, on the metro, any time you are just waiting, whip out your purse book and take yourself away to another place entirely. Yes, you can mindlessly check Facebook, or twitter, but wouldn’t you rather be in a book?
Still keeping this one in my purse. It’s so good!
COOKBOOK
Flat Belly Diet Cookbook! by Liz Vaccariello
I picked up this cookbook earlier in the year and you guys….. you won’t believe some of the recipes in this thing. I cannot wait to try this sesame cracker recipe. Do you know how much crackers cost in the store now!?!
Look at that! Yum! Sorry about the wonky, side-ways photo, but just look at those delicious looking crackers. I can’t wait!
MAGAZINES
My magazines. You know my love of a real magazine. These are the ones that I had on my nightstand this week.
All of the ones below are on sale right now for $5.00! I love them.
That’s all I’ve got for now. What have you been reading? Do tell!
If you like this post, please share it. Thank you!
Here are all of the other things I’ve been reading.
