Ahhhh, January, everything starts to slow down and I’m ready for it. Not to mention we have 8 (eight!!) people in our family with birthdays this month, which makes it a pretty impressive month in my opinion. Happy birthday to all my people in January.
I am slowly, very slowly carving out more reading time. Are you? Here’s what I’ve been reading.
Hardcore Twenty-Four by Janet Evanovich
Oh, Stephanie Plum. How you entertain us. I always enjoy this set of books, they are a funny, fast and delightful series that I always look forward to. If you have never read any of these books, DON’T start with this one. Go all the way back to One for the Money.
PURSE BOOK
Living Well, Spending Less by Ruth Soukup
If you spend any time waiting, you need a purse book. Standing in line at the post office, at the grocery store, in the dentist’s office, on the metro, any time you are just waiting, whip out your purse book and take yourself away to another place entirely. Yes, you can mindlessly check Facebook, or twitter, but wouldn’t you rather be in a book?
I am still keeping this one in my purse. It’s so good!
COOKBOOK
Liv almost always asks for pie for her birthday cake. Usually it’s cheesecake. This year she wants strawberry cheesecake and I found a beautiful version in my copy of this cookbook. It doesn’t matter that the recipe is for cherry cheesecake! I’ll post the recipe if it turns out!
I can’t wait!!
MAGAZINES
My magazines. You know my love of a real magazine. These are the ones that I had on my nightstand this week.
All of the ones below are on sale right now for $5.00! I love them.
That’s all I’ve got for now. What have you been reading? Do tell!
If you like this post, please share it. Thank you!
Here are all of the other things I’ve been reading.
