This was a great week for things I have on my wish list.  Let’s get started.

I’ve had these on my “lookout” list for a while now.  Since Christmas actually.  At Christmas I’m going to hang them on all of my front windows.  I bought seven of them.  For $1.99 each.  There was a lady in line behind me who very casually said “How much are on those?”  When I told her, her face flushed and she said “I bought some of those at Christmas and I paid $12.99 each for them”.   This is why I keep a running list of things I definitely want to find at yard sales and thrift stores.  A savings of at least $76.93!  Yes! and thank you.

I have a beautiful woven basket in my kitchen that I keep my potatoes in.  But it is constantly in the way and we move it from place to place depending on what we are doing in the kitchen.  These are perfect.  I’ll show you what I did with them in another post. $1.99 for both!  Woo-hoo!

The older I get the more picky I am about my footwear.  They have to feel amazing or I’m not going to wear them.  These are awesome.  They are brand new and still had the stickers on the bottom.  $3.00Milk glass.  How I love thee.  This was $0.99 and when I got it home and took off the 14 yards of plastic, hideous sticky tape, this was inside.

Yay!  Two for one.  $0.99 for both.  Do you collect any type of glassware?  I love milk glass.

Another item that’s been on my watch list.  I absolutely adore my cast iron skillets.  Sometimes just a skillet won’t cut it though.  This is a dream.  I scrubbed this baby up and used it last night to grill all of our subs for supper.  It.Is.Awesome. $3.99!

Don’t mind the filth.  It scrubbed up beautifully.

This is made by S K Keramik from Germany and it’s red.  That was enough for me to buy it to keep my ladles in.

I LOVE red.  It’s so pretty.  And now it’s useful.  $0.59.
Look at these pretties.  They are faux fur standard size pillow shams.  Liv is going to love them on her bed.  Somehow that girl works her pillowcases off, every single day.  Since these are shams, it’ll be a lot harder for that to happen.  They washed up beautifully too.  $1.00 for both.

A new cookies cookbook!  $1.99Here’s something that I saw, but didn’t buy.  It rotates your Christmas tree.  I just don’t think that I need this in my life.  My cat’s have a hard enough time resisting the tree, can you imagine?  But apparently if you do you’re going to pay through the nose.  These things are around $100!  $7.99, someone went home happy. So for a total of $27.48 I think I made out like a bandit this week.  And ticked off quite a few of my find and buy items.  What did you find this week?

  1. Oh, you did make out like a bandit! We like a lot of the same things but I look for stuff for grands instead of daughter! I have milk glass stashed in boxes ready for me to “decor” somewhere…someday. I collect “new” Christmas stuff at GW and yard sales to make theme Christmas baskets for my church bazaar. Usually do an angel, Santa, pointsettia/holly, gingerbread boy, sometimes a penguin one depending on what I find. Buy dish towels, soap dispensers, etc. after Christmas. For friends/family, I make Epsom bath salts, scrubs, soaps, etc. with candles, lotion, Michael’s clearance, etc. thrown in; I call them “be good to yourself baskets.” It’s great fun to give someone an $50 gift that cost you maybe $5! I also look for friends’ dish patterns; one loves snowmen, another, frogs. To see a face light up in gratitude caz you blew 50 cents is just awesome!
