- Did you know that King George II gave Pennsylvania and Delaware to William Penn to pay off debts he owed to his father?
- Penn immediately set sail for America, landed in what is now Delaware and then proceeded to found Philadelphia.
- He was imprisoned several times in the Tower of London (where he wrote No Cross, No Crown), which may have given him the impetus to take that trans-Atlantic journey.
