Subscribe and Save. March 2018.

As I write this post, these prices are still available.  Please, please, please check the prices before you purchase, as we all know that Amazon’s prices are subject to change!

I don’t put in an order through Amazon Subscribe and Save every single month.  But, I do keep watch to see what kind of deals there are to be had.  Here is what I ordered in March.  Click on the photo to take you to that item.

I try to get at least five items in my order (to get the additional 15% off discount) or I’ll just cancel until the next month.  Let’s see what’s coming from the UPS man this month.

$10.46!  Do you have picky people at your house?  We do.  Hayden is a die hard Dove man.  He would use something else if there was no choice, but if he chooses, he wants Dove.

Dove Men+Care Antiperspirant Deodorant Stick, Extra Fresh, 2.7 oz, 4 count

$8.43 for the 4 count! Same situation with the deodorant.  So when I find a price like this I definitely stock up!

$10.06!  I am always looking for something to pop into the kids lunches that will be sweet.  And for $0.55 a full-sized bar, you can’t beat that price.

$8.92!  Again, stock up when the price is awesome!

$1.76!  Can we just talk about the price of hair color for a moment?  It’s insane.  But, I am also not ready to let my hair go completely white.  Which it has, I just cover it up every month.

$1.76!  Again, stock up when the price is amazing.  This stuff is usually around $8.00 a box!

Anytime I can get the UPS to do my shopping for me is a great day.  That’s what it feels like when he delivers my orders.  To my front door.

That’s what is coming to my front porch this month.  What do you order?

The prices reflect the subscribe and save price with coupon’s at the time of my order and may not be available now.  This post contains affiliate links.  Read my disclosure policy here.

It’s Harper Lee’s Birthday

The one and only Harper Lee’s birthday is today.  She was born the same year as my Papaw Calvin and would have been 91 years old.

She wrote the timeless and iconic book To Kill a MockingbirdIt’s one of my favorite of all time books.  I didn’t read this until Hayden did when he was in high school.  I had no idea what I was missing.

If you’ve never read it, you should pick up a copy or borrow it from your local library, but RUN to get a copy from somewhere, and you won’t regret it.

All.Time.Favorite.  Seriously.

Naw, Jem……

February Favorites!

February has come and gone in a flash.

Here are some of the things I’m loving right now.

I love this shampoo and conditioner.  I have already repurchased it and I will continue to repurchase it until I find something that I love better.  I love the smell, the way it smooths my hair, everything about it.

Knee pads.  There can never be enough said about knee pads.  These things are a life saver.  Mine are exactly like these, but take a look at this set!  I think I’ll be investing in myself a little with them.

This little tool is the bomb.  Seriously, Denton and I used a piece of flooring for the first few rows when we started laying it.  You know, because that’s what everyone on YouTube said to do, and that worked.  For a little while and then it started to fall apart from all of the hammering stress.  Then Hayden and I switched to a cut off piece of 2X4 because it was sturdier.  The 2X4 worked wonders for two rooms, but this thing.  There is a reason for specialty tools and this is one.  You won’t regret this purchase.

Also, make certain that you go ahead and pay for this dead blow hammer to go with the pull bar.  I accidentally just picked up my normal metal hammer and boy let me tell you what.  I couldn’t hear out of my right ear for almost an hour.  That is not fun people.  Buy the rubber hammer!

I am always so very hesitant to use a new product on my face.  I have sensitive skin that will flare up at the drop of a hat if I use something different on it.  I received this as a trial, and I have waited for a couple of months – that hesitation again – but I started using this last week.  Oh my.  I love this.  It’s by Lancome, and it’s called Renergie Nuit Multi-Lift night cream.  It is very pricey in my humble opinion, but man oh man do I think it is worth every penny.  It feels like silk as you put it on and makes my skin feel amazing.  If you have the means, you should definitely try this!

Reusing things.  Do you do this?  I bought this candle at my local Goodwill, having no idea what it was or how much they go for on Amazon, but just because I loved the way it smelled.  I also loved the container.  So, when the candle was all gone, I took my generic, plain glass $1.00 cotton ball holder and replaced it with this beautiful glass container.

It is the simple things that make me happy.

January Favorites!

January was an excellent month.  It’s my birthday month and Denton made me dinner.  It was AWESOME.  There were quite a few things that I am loving right now.  That could change at any moment.  So without further ado.  Here is what I loved in January.

My girl is a serious tea drinker.  If she isn’t drinking water, it’s tea.  So this year for her birthday, I found one these little darlings.  She absolutely loves it!  It boils her water for a cup of tea in literally a minute.  Amazing.  And the best part is I found her’s at our local Salvation Army (new!) for $5!  Woo-hoo!

I ordered this last week earlier in January, when we started installing our wood floors and let me tell you Bob, I love this thing.  It is exactly what I wanted.  Something large enough that I wasn’t going to be spending ALL of my time sweeping the new floors.  I seriously thought about ordering the 36″ one, but Denton talked me out of it.  This one is 24″ wide and perfect for me.  Yay!

We replaced our kitchen faucet and I love this one.  It does exactly what I bought it for.  We’ve actually had this in our kitchen for about a year now and it is so worth the price.  Love it.

I am loving these.  I have never liked diffusers, until now.  There is a major difference in the quality and these are top notch.  I’ve had mine for the entire month of January and it is still going strong.  The best part is it’s still 3/4 full!  Love it.  And the smell is divine.

I bought this earlier in the fall and I have been using it since.  I love it.  Just be careful, it will lift linoleum that has been glued.  Ask me how I know.

Emporio Armani Diamonds by Giorgio Armani for Women - 3.4 Ounce EDP Spray

I found a bottle of this at my local Salvation Army and I love it.  I’ve worn it all month and have no intentions of switching any time soon.

I bought a travel bottle of this lotion and this is definitely something that I will repurchase.   It feels amazing on my skin and hydrates wonderfully.  Love it.

That’s what I’m loving this month.  What are some of your favorites?

What the Crocs!

img_3153Earlier this summer I ordered another pair of my beloved Crocs shoes.  This time I ordered my usual order of Athens II which I can’t live without since my self-diagnosis of Plantar Fasciitis several years ago.  You know, with my medical degree and all.  Something about those little nubby things and the design of the footbed massages that tendon when I wear these and makes it all better.

(Note:  I am not a doctor.  Anything you read here can be taken with a hill of beans as my grandmothers’ would say).

But seriously, is there anything on the market that makes that hideous pain go away better than these shoes?  If you know of something, please leave me a note in the comments so I can try it!

I also added a pair of Patricia MiniWedge Sandals.  I loved how they looked and when I received them, I loved how they felt and fit.  Until I left them in my car one afternoon.  I didn’t even notice this when I grabbed them and took them to my closet.

The next time I got them out to wear I thought I had accidentally grabbed a pair of Liv’s shoes.  She wears a size six most of the time.  I wear an 8 to 8 1/2.  I couldn’t even get my toes into the shoe.img_3158 I could not believe it.  You can see where the shoe has separated and pulled away from the outer portion and how greatly it has shrunk.  Visibly shrunk.

img_3154It never even crossed my mind to NOT leave them in the car for the day, but even if there was some type of warning about it (they are after all a type of plastic, right?) why did only ONE of them shrink?  They were together!

Very bizarre.  Very, very, bizarre.

If my beloved Sampson was still here, he would get a fun fetch it toy.  Oreo wouldn’t fetch if it was a Filet Mignon.  Herd it.  Yes, all day long if it was a sheep, cow, or a bunch of cats.  He loves to herd.

So, anyone out there need ONE size 8 Patricia MiniWedge?

Has something like this ever happened to you?

Monthly Favorites. April 2016

I like to see what other people are using and loving.  It makes purchasing decisions easier when I know that someone I like and trust has used it and loves it.  So I thought that I would let you guys in on what I am loving this month too!  Guess what?  This post may contain affiliate links!  Read my disclosure policy here.

Melamine foam (Mr. Clean Magic Eraser).  I love these things!  I had never used them because I am too cheap to actually buy the Mr. Clean version, but another blogger that I read and respect showed this generic version and I decided to try them.   Love, love, love.  These things are awesome.  I use them for everything.  Scrubbing out the kitchen sink.  Check.  Scrubbing out the tub.  Check.  Scrubbing the baseboards that are nasty and gross because they haven’t been cleaned since we moved in 8 years ago!  Check.  Love it.

Mr. Clean Lavender Vanilla

I buy mine through the subscribe and save when it goes on sale and let me tell you Bob this stuff smells amazing!  Yum!  I dilute it in a spray bottle for quick spritz cleaning.  Love it!

My husband and I bought a box of these when they were on sale at our local grocery store a couple of weeks ago and we just now got around to trying them.  They are delicious.  I don’t think I’d want to eat them every single time I wanted a cracker, but they are yummy.

I picked up a small travel size of this stuff and people!  I LOVE this stuff.  Yes, it is oily (thank you Liv) but it just sinks into my skin and leaves such a wonderful feel to my skin.  The smell is divine.  I don’t think that there is anything I would change about it, seriously, not even the oily feel of it going on your skin.  I love it!  And I might even try another scent.

That’s all I’ve got this month.  What are some of the things you’re loving this month?

Pal’s. The Yummiest Place on Earth.

Pal’s Sudden Service.

Have you ever eaten at a Pal’s?  Ohmyword.  Every time we go home to see my family we have to make a pit stop at one of these at some point.

The original Pal’s opened in Kingsport, Tennessee in 1956 wayyyyyy before my time by Pal Barger.  And now there are 28 locations.  Sadly, not one near me.  sniff, sniff.

His whole concept from the beginning was quality, speedy service and customer satisfaction.  We’ve been eating his yummy food for my whole life and I’ve never had a bad experience.  I think it’s working!

The food.  Oh the food.  My most favorite thing ever is the hot dog.  A warm, soft bun with a delicious hot dog, add chili, mustard and onions and you are in heaven.

Add frenchie fries and a sweet tea with lemon and it’s perfection.

You can find their entire menu here:

If you are ever in East Tennessee or Southwest Virginia and you need a bite, you have to find the closest Pal’s and get you something.  You won’t regret it!!

This is not a sponsored post or anything of the sort.  Pal’s has no idea who I am!  Or that I heart them so much!!  I miss you Pal’s!

To Kill a Mockingbird. Harper Lee. 🔖

I just read this book.  Just this week.  What have I been doing with my life?!?  I have no idea why I haven’t read it, I just never had picked it up.  I am so, so glad that I took it on the plane with me this past week.

If you have been living under a rock –  like me! – you should really run, run!, to your library, local bookstore or computer to get yourself a copy of this book.  It’s that good.

I told one of my teenagers – who has read it– that I believe this is one of my favorite books of all time now.  Everyone should be blessed to have a Daddy like Atticus.

Have you read it?  Did you love it, hate it or not have an opinion?

Thrifty Treasures. Week 47 of 53

Some weeks are much better than others when it comes to finding treasure’s at yard sales or thrift stores.

This was a good week!  Look at what I found that I must not be able to live without.

This is a photograph that someone took while in France that they had transferred to a canvas and stretched.  I looooove this!  I hung it over my bed and I can’t stop looking at it, even when my eyes are closed it makes me happy because I know that it’s there.  $4.99 Best. deal. ever.

This coffee machine.   MMMMHHHHH.  I hated our regular coffee pot.  Every single time I would make even a half pot, I would forget that there was a small bit of coffee in it until it looked like a science experiment.  Yuck.  But, this thing is amazing.  Need one cup of coffee.  Ta-da!  Need six cups. Ta-da!  And it never leaves coffee to turn weird colors and textures!  $3.99 Yay!

This amazing All-Clad Belgium Waffle maker.  Oh people, I love this thing!  It makes the best waffles, ever.  Denton and I were at a road side yard sell early this fall and I picked this baby up for $7.00.  Whaaaaat?!?  Seriously, this is a $200 waffle maker and the lady just wanted it gone.  Yes, Please!

All Clad 4 Slice Belgian Waffle Maker 2100046968

An adjustable goose neck brass lamp.  I usually bring home any type of cool lamps that are brass and immediately paint them with spray paint.  I don’t think that I’m going to do that with this little lovely.  Isn’t she pretty!  The brass is such a soft color on this one and I love it.  $2.99, woo-hoo!

What have you found this week?
