Back to Kroger this week for chicken wings (my mother won’t touch them) refried beans and green chilies for burritos, and lots of other goodies like blueberries, blackberries and raspberries for $1.88 a box. Woohoo! We also got back $0.75 from Ibotta. Yay!

At first I couldn’t believe the total on this grocery receipt until I realized it had the kid’s Zyrtec for the summer on it. Gah! Allergies suck.

I was completely out of milk and bread, so the easiest thing for me to do is have Denton stop in and pick it up. Otherwise, I would find 42 other things that needed to find it’s way into my buggie. He is much better at sticking to a list than I am.

Oh, and sliced cheese. Because you can’t make a good grilled cheese without it.

Do you shop at the same grocery store each week? We have two within a 10 minute drive of us and a Kroger within 15 minutes and it totally depends on what we need each week where I shop. Certain stores have things for a better price than others.

This week Kroger was the clear winner. It all depends on what is on the mega sale there and this week they had Milano cookies on sale for $2.50 a box. Yummy.

Are there week’s when you feel like you are buying nothing but junk food? I was just looking over this receipt and I have a lot of ice cream, pizza rolls and bean burritos on here. We did however find out that everyone prefers homemade burritos, so that will go on a freezer cooking day. Yum.

Are there things that you will stop into a certain store for each week? I always stop in at Walmart when I need to pick up cat litter. Or Double Q salmon in a can. Or Finish Quantum. Those things just always seem to be cheaper at old wally world.

So. I completely fell off the Goals wagon in March and haven’t yet gotten back on it. In my world, when something isn’t working I find another way to get it done. For now, I am going to post my grocery goals in this category and see how it works out.

Before I had been trying to only post once a week which is one of the reasons I fell off of this particular wagon. I am going to actually post each time I grocery shop so that I don’t confuse myself in the future. Which isn’t very hard to do apparently.

I was also trying to separate out non food items from the food – you know, since you don’t eat cat food or litter, toilet paper or shampoo, etc. But for now, I’m going to lump it all together to simplify things. Onward!
