Cheesy, Spicy, Roasted Chickpeas Recipe

Do you like roasted chickpeas?  This is one of Liv’s favorite snacks.  They are crunchy, cheesy, and spicy.  Yum!

Start out with a can of garbanzos.  Drain and rinse them well.

Next gather your next ingredients.  And helpers.  Hello, Batman.   Yeast flakes.  Seriously, yummy.  This is what gives them their cheesiness.

Garlic and chili powders.

Olive oil.

Salt and pepper.

Mix everything together.  And place on a sheet pan.  Bake at 350* for 45 minutes.  Shaking the pan about every 20 minutes.

Yumminess.  Crunchy, salty, spicy and cheesy all at the same time.

These are best the same day.  They will lose some of their crunchiness if you store them in a lidded container, but they are still great.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 15 oz can of chick peas - garbanzo beans
  • 1 TBSP chili powder
  • 1 TBSP garlic powder
  • shake of salt and pepper
  • 2 TBSP olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Drain and rinse the chick peas.
  • Mix chickpeas with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Pour onto a sheet pan.
  • Roast in a 350* oven for 45 minutes.
  • Shake pan every 20 minutes.
  • Enjoy!
