Suicide Squad. Have you seen it?
Okay. Hopefully I didn’t lose you at the title of this post. You wouldn’t believe how many people have told me that they hated this movie. And I always said, “Really?, I liked it.” and then they goggled at me and wondered how they could be my friend. Stay with me.
Then I saw a survey which asked the following: Who played the Joker the best?:
- Heath Ledger
- Jack Nicholson
- Mark Hamill
- Joaquin Phoenix
- Cesar Romero
- Jared Leto
- Zach Galifianakis
- Kevin Michael Richardson
Which anyone with a brain knows it was Heath Ledger, right?! I did love Jack Nicholson in that role too however and I haven’t see the Joaquin Phoenix movie yet. But I was like, wait, what? Jared Leto? I didn’t even remember that he was IN this movie. Soooooo, now I have to question myself as to why I think I liked Suicide Squad, since obviously I don’t remember anything about it. And the answer is very simple. It had Margot Robbie in it.
She is amazing as Harley Quinn, as she always is in any role. (I can’t wait to watch Mary Queen of Scots!!!) But, it turns out that I remember basically nothing about this movie, except that Margot Robbie was absolutely marvelous.
I can’t give you any spoilers, because I don’t remember what happens. Also: I love Joel Kinnaman. Denton won’t mind my saying that, because he does too. We have watched so many things with him in it that I haven’t told you about yet, but he is an excellent actor to add to your watch list. Don’t judge him by this movie though, because I don’t remember his character; what happens to him; and whether or not his part was written very well or not.
I guess my take on this movie is: I don’t know if you want to spend a couple hours of your life watching it since it seriously didn’t leave me with much of an impression, but if you like Margot Robbie and you have nothing else to do for those couple hours, you’ll at least get to see her give another outstanding performance.
Wasn’t that helpful?
Let me know if you’ve seen it, and if you have, did you remember anything about it besides Harley Quinn?
You can find all of the other movies we’ve watched lately, here if you are interested!
