I LOVE yard sales, people!!! They are the best place to furnish your house, find Christmas presents, find things to sell online, the list can go on and on. I have done all of these and more and will do it again in the future.
Here’s what treasure’s I found last weekend.
A belt sander. I know I need this. I really, really do, Denton! I am very sure that I will be using this quite often and for $3 you just.can’t.beat.it. And plungers! We have three bathrooms people! And one plunger. These were brand new. The lady said they bought them for a weird game at a baby shower and never even used them for the weird game. She didn’t call the game weird, I did after she explained why she needed them at a baby shower. People are strange, I tell you, strange. And for $1 for BOTH. Yes, please!
Vera Bradley Wristlet $3.00. I love these things. This is what I carry all the time. I keep a big bag in my car that has everything you would need in an apocalypse, but when I shop this is all I take with me and I LOVE it. So every time I find one at an awesome price I snatch it up.
An Elgin anniversary clock. $1.00. Because it’s a clock, and I love clocks of all shapes and sizes. And it was a dollar!
Milk Glass for $0.50. And it’s so pretty! I love milk glass. I collect very few things, but milk glass is one of my favorites. Love the fluted edges on this piece.
Cast iron griddle pan for $1.00. This thing will be awesome when I get it cleaned up and cured!
These little guys are hooks that you mount on the wall and hang…..something on. I thought they were adorable. $0.70!
And I will have to tell you the story sometime about the drive-through zoo and Denton being scared out of his mind by an Ostrich. Good times! These reminded me of that! Woo-hoo!
This weekend at two DIFFERENT yard sales I found enough of these candles (for a total of $3.00 for all 12!!) to light up our house at night. Awesome!
Cookbooks, how I love thee. I’ll have to hide these from Denton and pretend that I’ve had them all along. I have a cookbook problem. But, I gave $4.50 for all.of.them.! I can’t wait to try out the One Potato Two Potato!
Another transferware turkey platter!! $3.99. I don’t know if I’ll keep it or sell it yet.
A lovely little kitchen scale for $1.00. It.is.filthy. But it’ll clean up! I have no idea why it won’t let me turn this photo!
I can’t tell if this is Princess House or not. But I think it’s awesome anyway, this thing is about 20 inches tall!
I also think these are Princess House too. I think that they are sherry glasses. Woo-hoo!
As I was taking the pictures for this post, I noticed something on the battery box laying on the dining room table. Look! It’s a teeny, tiny grasshopper! This thing is microscopic!
This is a terrible picture, but you can kind of get some perspective on how tiny this thing is. That’s a AA battery and the blurry thing is the grasshopper. That is amazing, and no grasshoppers were harmed in the making of this blog post. Denton rescued it and put it outside where it belongs.
What did you find this weekend?
