Hello again! How was your week? In my typical weather update….it has been glorious here. I can totally get behind summer if it stayed like this all summer long. Cool mornings in the low 50’s or 60’s, with highs in the very low 80’s with almost no perceptible humidity. Yes, please. I love it. It still feels like spring to me.
I feel like I am slowly getting into a new groove now that school is over. Yay! Next up will be vacation – sand, the ocean, me with a book in my hand at least 23 hours a day and my umbrella. Heaven, for at least a week. I’ll try to take pictures of everything we eat. Do you eat out the entire time or do you cook at your vacation rental? Denton and I were talking about this the other night. We usually do a mix of both, leaning more heavily on the eating at home side. He would rather eat out every.single.day. At home? No way, he wants to eat at home, but on vacation, he’s all for going out to eat. He’s weird like that. Which side do you fall on?
If money were not a factor at all, oh yeah, it’s much easier to have someone else hunt, gather, and prepare a delicious meal. But with just a family of four like our family you’re talking about a couple of grand for food. For a week. That gives me physical pain, you guys. So if I have my way, we’ll be eating most of our meals in our beach house while we are away…..
Anywho, here’s what we ate last week:
Monday – 27th Leftovers. One of my favorite days…..
Tuesday – 28th Hamburgers, dill pickle chips – a new love of mine and Olivia’s. It’s her Nana and Papa’s fault. They brought them to our house……
Wednesday – 29th Tuna sandwiches, chips, and pickles
Thursday – 30th Shrimp, onion rings, and corn on the cob, YUM
Friday – 31st Pork tenderloin, rice, baked beans, roasted veggies, coleslaw and Naan
Saturday – 1st Chinese food! My favorite
Sunday – 2nd Leftovers, another favorite
We have finally devoured all of the desserts from graduation!
What’s for supper at your house? What are you going to eat this week?
