Cooler weather has arrived in Virginia.  Yay!  I know all of you summer people are seriously bummed, because it arrived in a spectacular fashion, but I am so, so glad to see it.

Now maybe I can plan to turn on my oven on a regular basis.  Bread, sheet pan suppers, muffins, roast chicken, cookies, brownies, and everything else that needs to be baked!  I can’t wait.

Here is what we ate last week in no particular order:

Thick cut pork chops.  These were seriously delicious.  I have to thank my brother for the creation of this recipe.  He is the one who inspired me to try them, since I’ve always been afraid to even attempt them.  He was talking about it this summer while we were at the beach and it only took me four months to get my courage up.  Try this tonight!  But please DO NOT browbeat me about the temp on the recipe.  I am not Chef Ramsey!

Fettuccine Alfredo, garlic bread and what Liv calls “Fancy Spaghetti”.  I’ll try to get the recipe up this week.  It is so easy, and it’s excellent.

Soup beans, salmon and everything that goes with it.  This is a staple at my house.  It’s my comfort food.

Breakfast for supper.  We also had over easy eggs, but I forgot to get a photo.  Typical.

And last but not least, Chinese food.  This is another one of my favorites.  I know the staff by name at our local place.  I wonder if they would let me work there for a couple of weeks, just long enough to learn how to make my favorites……

The rest of the week was leftovers.

What did you eat last week?  What are you going to eat this week?  Inquiring minds need to know!
