I have found that the only way I get anything accomplished is to have a clear path to follow. I am absolutely not a fly by the seat of my pants type of person. So this year I have decided to lay out some goals to strive for and see how I do. We shall see.
- Go on a date with Denton every single week.
Yes! We made it to a date this week. We had lunch in our tiny town together at a place that neither of us even knew was there. It was lovely. Of course I forgot to take a photo. Did you have a date this week?
- Free Friday Download from Kroger each week.
This Friday’s freebie was a Lindt Lindor Milk Egg. Woo-hoo, this sounds yummy!
- Try a new recipe each week
Of course I found a new book that I am loving. This one has been well loved. Hopefully I will try out some of the recipes this summer!

- The donation box
This week we donated 60 items to our local Salvation Army. I took magazines, purses, clothes, a lamp, some Christmas ornaments, a whole bunch of potting pots, a vase and other miscellaneous stuff that I decided we no longer loved and needed anymore. Did you take anything to the thrift store this week?
- Read a new book each week
This week I have plowed through another Nora Roberts trilogy, In the Garden, Blue Dahlia, Black Rose and Red Lily. Of course I’ve read them before, but I this is my comfort zone and when I can’t settle into a good book I always go back to what makes me happy.
- Gardening of some sort
My Easter lilies are about to bloom. Do you call your daffodils Easter lilies? We do. I actually went out and gathered all of the leaves out of my beds this week. Spring, it’s almost here.
- House project’s
We were supposed to be out of town the end of this week, so we didn’t plan on working on anything, and then my niece ended up with the flu, so we stayed home. Good excuse for not doing anything, huh?
- Track how much water I’m drinking ~
Nada. I am terrible at this. The human body needs fluids to survive, correct? I can definitely tell the difference when I DO drink water, so I need to step it up. I’m going to get some now, sigh.
That’s it from me this week, what about you? How did you do?
