I have found that the only way I get anything accomplished is to have a clear path to follow.  I am absolutely not a fly by the seat of my pants type of person.  So this year I have decided to lay out some goals to strive for and see how I do.  We shall see.

  • Go on a date with Denton every single week.

We didn’t go out on a “date” date.  But, he did pick up Chinese on Friday so that I didn’t have to cook, which means that I didn’t have to cook on Saturday either, because I forced everyone to eat leftovers from the week.  So I am counting it!  Not cooking is more important to me than spending time dressing up and spending a lot of money on food that I might only think is meh.  See last weeks date.

  • Free Friday Download from Kroger each week.

This Friday’s freebie was, again, I have no idea because I forgot – again.

  • Try a new recipe each week

This week I have read Southern Living Best-Loved Christmas Classics from cover to cover.  Have you ever seen this book?  It is absolutely beautiful.  I can’t wait to try some of the recipes, like the Red Velvet Cupcakes.  Yum!

Track our grocery spending   Spent $76.21 at Food Lion

Got back from Ibotta $8.50         Checkout 51 $3.25                Savings Catcher $5.02

  • List something new on Etsy and Ebay each week

I actually got myself into gear and listed some beautiful things this week.  One of them was my Cobalt blue Monmouth, Illinois crock.   You can see all of my items on Etsy here.

I also listed Denton’s Playstation 4 VR Launch Bundle on eBay.  He got it for Christmas and played it once.  He loved the VR aspect of it, but hated the contraption that you have to wear on your head to play.

  • The donation box

This week I took clothes, household items, books, kitchen items that I had duplicates of and other miscellaneous stuff that added up to 49 items.  Here are a few of them.

Did you take anything to the thrift store this week?

  • Read a new book each week

This week I am reading The Chemist and Big Little Lies.  I am enjoying both of them.

  • Gardening of some sort

Not a thing.  Yet.

  • House project’s

Does cleaning my house fit into this category?  I am in Spring Cleaning mode so maybe.

  • Track how much water I’m drinking  ~

I did so much better this week.  Most days I guzzled down around 12 cups of water a day.  Woo-hoo!

That’s it from me this week, what about you?  How did you do?

Miss a week?
