I have found that the only way I get anything accomplished is to have a clear path to follow.  I am absolutely not a fly by the seat of my pants type of person.  So this year I have decided to lay out some goals to strive for and see how I do.  We shall see.

  • Go on a date with Denton every single week.

We had a lovely date this week.  We went to dinner and it was …okay.  So I’m not even going to comment on the place we ate at, because life is too short to complain about things that were – meh.  But, after we had dinner I dragged Denton into a little gallery and let me tell you Bob.  It was awesome.  I’ll right a proper post about it later this week!

  • Free Friday Download from Kroger each week.

This Friday’s freebie was, I have no idea, because I forgot to download it!

  • Try a new recipe each week

I am seriously thinking of changing this goal to “What cookbook I am drooling over this week.”  Here is the one I am poring over and dreaming of cooking with this week.

Best Quick Fixes is a beautiful full color book.  It is really lovely to look at and the recipes look amazing.

  • List something new on Etsy and Ebay each week

This week I listed my Yellow Custard Hobnail Milk Glass.  It is absolutely beautiful.  You can see all of my items here.

  • The donation box

Never made it.  It’s still sitting forlornly, waiting for it’s new home.

Did you take anything to the thrift store this week?

  • Read a new book each week

This week I finally buckled down and read The Shining by Stephen King.  I don’t do scary, people, so this was a big deal for me.  I read Stephen King voraciously when I was in my late teens and early twenties.  But that was then and this is now, and now I don’t do scary.  With that said I have always wanted to read this book and now I have.  It was as amazing as I thought it would be.  If you can tolerate the scary aspect, and it is very, very, psychologically scary, you definitely need to read it. Now I have to gear myself up to watch the movie.  My love for Jack Nicholson will eventually overcome my fear of scary movies I am sure.

  • Gardening of some sort

I thought about gardening, does that count?  I really want to plant tomatoes, and peppers, and lots of other things, but seeing as the high this past Friday was 36* I don’t think it’s a great idea yet?  Are you planting anything outside yet?

  • House project’s

Hayden and I ran away to the city on Friday, which is our floor laying day, so we didn’t get anything done this week.

  • Track how much water I’m drinking  ~

Maybe a middling cup or two a day.  How pitiful.  I desperately need to work on this.

That’s it from me this week, what about you?  How did you do?

Miss a week?
